    Itinerary

    Day 1Bagdogra / New Jalpaiguri - Gangtok

    • Welcome on arrival at Bagdogra Airport / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station and transfer to Gangtok (114kms/4.5hrs).
    • Gangtok, at an altitude of 5500ft, is a lovely and clean town promising the greatest monasteries and sceneries.
    • Overnight at the hotel, with the evening free for own activities and relaxation.

    Day 2Sightseeing in Gangtok (9.30am to 1.30pm or 2.00pm to 6.00pm)

    • Chortan (Stupa), Institute of Tibetology (Closed on Sunday), Institute of Handicrafts and Handlooms (Closed on Sunday), Ranka Monastery, and Jakhri Waterfalls are among the highlights of a half-day sightseeing tour in and around Sikkim’s capital city.

    Day 3Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir Excursion

    • Start for a day excursion to Tsomgo Lake (12400ft), which is only 32 kilometres from Gangtok City.
    • The lake is about one kilometre long, oval in shape, and 15 metres deep. The lake is revered by the locals, and 12 kilometres away lies Baba Mandir, which is devoted to the memory of the soldier Harbhajan Singh.
    • Free evening in Gangtok for shopping and personal activities.

    Day 4Gangtok to Pelling

    • Transfer to Pelling in the morning (123 km, 6.5 hours).
    • Pemayangtse, in West Sikkim, is a little Himalayan settlement.
    • Pelling is the closest motorable point to Mt. Kanchendzonga, the world’s third-highest mountain, and provides a spectacular sunrise and all-day vista of Kanchendzonga and the Eastern Himalayan range.

    Day 5Local Sightseeing in Pelling (9.30am to 1.30pm or 2.00pm to 6.00pm)

    • After breakfast, go for a half-day tour to Pelling, including the Sacred Khecheopalri Lake, Kanchendzonga Falls, Pemayangtse Monastery, Sikkim’s second oldest monastery, and Darap Village.
    • The evening is yours to do anything you want.

    Day 6Pelling to Darjeeling

    • Transfer to Darjeeling in the morning (128 km/5 hours). Darjeeling, India’s former summer capital, is a country of endless diversity and charm.
    • It will provide you with a unique combination of vibrant nature and attractive Himalayan people. It is the home of Dorje, the Lama-mystic Religion’s thunderbolt.
    • This little village is surrounded by tea plants and confronts some of the Himalaya’s tallest peaks.
    • Take a break and then go for a walk around town to get a feel for the new culture you’ve discovered.
    • Rest in the hotel for the night

    Day 7Darjeeling, Local Sightseeing: two points (04:00–07:00) and the greatest points (9.30 AM to 1.30 PM or 2.00 PM to 6.00 PM)

    • Early in the morning, go to Tiger Hill to see the stunning sunrise and its incredible effects on Mt. Kanchendzonga (the world’s third highest peak), then visit Ghoom Monastery (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY).
    • Breakfast at the hotel, then a half-day sightseeing tour of Padmaja N. Zoological Garden (closed on Thursday), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursday), Tibetan Refugee Self-help Center (closed on Sunday), Ropeway (entry costs not included), Mall and Local Market (Closed on Thursday).
    • Evening of leisure for shopping and personal activities, followed by an overnight stay at the hotel.

    Day 8Transfer to Kalimpong and Local Sightseeing

    • After breakfast, drive to Kalimpong (54 km/2 hr) for local sight-seeing in and around the city, including Zong Dog Plair Fo- Brong Monastery (Durpin Dara Monastery), Flower & Orchid Nurseries, and Dello Hill.
    • The evening is yours to do anything you want. Overnight stay at the hotel.

    Day 9Kalimpong - Bagdogra / New Jalpaiguri

    • After breakfast, head for New Jalpaiguri Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport (75 kilometres / three hours).
    • The tour has come to an end.
