      In this 5 day Gangtok & North Sikkim tour package for family, let the scenic sights of Gangtok, Lachen and Lachung (North Sikkim) enchant you. Starting off with Gangtok, your tour will continue in Lachen, then Lachung to Yumthang and finally end in Gangtok. Experience the unmatched beauty and pristine views of Sikkim with our tour package.       Day-wise Sikkim Family Tour Itinerary (4N/5D)

      Day 1 : Bagdogra (IXB)/NJP Station to Gangtok (125 km/ 4-5 hours)

      Bagdogra (IXB)/NJP Station: You will be received by our representative at Bagdogra Airport / NJP station. After the meet and greet, the representative will drive you to Gangtok and escort you to the hotel. 

      The drive from IXB/NJP is quite scenic. You will see picturesque landscapes, alpine forests, and hills. After checking in at the hotel, enjoy your welcome drink and relax in your room. 

      Leisure Time: This is your leisure day, so go out and explore the local market/MG Marg for shopping and dining. After experiencing the market of Gangtok, return to your hotel.

      Overnight stay in Gangtok

      Day 2 : Gangtok to Lachen (120 km/6-7 hours)

      Morning: A delicious breakfast will be served to you at the hotel and then you will get ready to begin your journey towards Lachen. Our representative will pick you up from the hotel. Enroute we will stop by the following attractions: 

      Twin Waterfalls: Milky-white stream of water cascades down rugged cliff, forming a pool. 

      Seven Sisters Waterfalls: A popular natural attraction located on Gantok – Lachung highway, offers a scenic backdrop for photos. 

      Singhik View Point: Watch the unobstructed views of Mt. Kanchenjunga and the confluence of Teesta and Kanka rivers. 

      Arrive in Lachen: After 7 hours of travel, you will reach Lachen whose serenity and natural charm will win you over. After checking at the hotel, relax yourself in the room. Use your remaining time by going on a walk nearby and admire the quaint charm of this place. 

      Overnight stay in Lachen: Enjoy your overnight stay in Lachen.

      Day 3 : Lachen to Lachung (47 km / 2 hours)

      Morning: On day 3 of the Sikkim tour, you will be travelling to a new destination. After breakfast, you will depart for Lachung with our tour representative, leaving behind Lachen. On our way, you will see the following natural attractions: 

      Thangu: A picturesque village where you can do photography and birdwatching. Thangu valley is marked by the criss-cross of Teesta, Chopta and Lassur rivers. 

      Chopta Valley (13,200 ft): An isolated valley with a small river running through it, and few cottages. During winter, the valley gets covered with snow. 

      Gurudongmar Lake (17,800 ft): Named after Guru Padmasambhava, who visited it in the 8th century, Gurudongmar Lake is one of the world’s highest lakes. It’s a sacred site for Buddhists, Sikhs and Hindus. 

      Overnight stay in Lachung: Post this long excursion, you will arrive at the hotel. Check in at the hotel and enjoy a cup of tea. Later, go for a leisurely stroll and stay the night at the hotel.

      Day 4 : Lachung – Yumthang Valley – Gangtok (104 kms/ 5-6 hours)

      Morning: On day 4 of the Sikkim tour, you will get ready for the Yumthang Valley excursion and later head to Gangtok. So relish your breakfast at the hotel and proceed to Yumthang Valley. 

      Yumthang Valley: Known as “Valley of Flowers”, Yumthang valley is a picturesque meadow full of lush greenery and blooming flowers (from Feb to May). It is surrounded by high hills and a Lachung river also flows by the valley. 

      Hot Spring: On our way back, we will also stop by the hotel spring, which is known for its mineral-rich water. 

      Optional Tour Zero Point: You can also get a tour to Zero Point, the last civilian outpost at  additional cost of INR. 4,000 on prior notice. 

      Overnight stay in Gangtok: Arrive in Gangtok, have dinner and stay at the hotel for the night.

      Day 5 : Gangtok to NJP Station/ Bagdogra Airport

      Morning: After breakfast, check out from the hotel. Say goodbye to Gangtok as you depart for NJP Station/ Bagdogra Airport. The tour ends here, we wish you safe travels.

      What is the cost of the hotel stay? 

      The estimated cost of hotel accommodation per night is:

      Transfers in Sikkim (Car Options) 

      With the Sikkim family tour package, we provide roundtrip transfers from the airport/train station to the hotel. It also includes transfers from Gangtok to Lachen – Lachung – Gangtok. All transfers are provided in a clean and well-maintained car (SUV/hatchback). The car options are: 

      Standard four-wheeler: Tata Sumo / Bolero / WagonR or similar

      Luxury four-wheeler: Innova / Xylo / Scorpio or similar 

      Please note that the biggest vehicle we can offer is a 7-seater SUV. We do not provide bus or tempo traveller options.  

      Documents for Permits in Sikkim  (ILP/PAP) 
      1. Tourists with an Indian citizenship must provide Voter ID or Driving License, or Passport as proof of citizenship along with 2 passport size photos to get a permit. 
      1. For kids, a birth certificate or passport along with 2 passport size photos are required documents to obtain a permit. 
      1. Aadhaar card and PAN card are NOT proof of citizenship and thus will not be considered as valid documents for acquiring a permit. 
      1. Service of a tour guide is mandatory in case of a foreigner travellers who want to visit North Sikkim / Nathula pass & Baba Mandir.
      1. For Foreign travellers must obtain a Restricted Area Permit (RAP) for which a valid passport and an Indian visa along with the application form is required. 
      1. Minimum two foreign tourists are required to obtain the required permit for North Sikkim/Nathula pass & Baba Mandir. Single foreign tourists are not allowed to visit restricted areas in Sikkim.
