Best time to visit Ravangla

Ravangla is a picturesque resort in South Sikkim, situated at an elevation of 7,000 feet. It is an ideal location for rest and relaxation while taking in the breathtaking vistas of the snow-capped Himalayas, including Mt. Kanchenjunga, Mt. Sinjolchu, and Mt. Pandim. It also has fantastic hiking trails and village visits in the area. It is situated between two fascinating places, Gangtok and Pelling, each with its own set of charms. It also serves as a starting point for treks to the Maenam Wildlife Sanctuary.

If you visit Ravangla, don’t be surprised if you see gorgeous and colourful Himalayan birds like blue-fronted redstarts, green-backed tit, and dark-throated thrush. Buddhist monasteries, deep woods, temples, adventure activities, trekking paths, waterfalls, beautiful green tea plantations, and hot springs are among Ravangla’s other prominent attractions.

Ravangla During the Winter (October To March)

Ravangala experiences bitterly cold winters, with temperatures plummeting to sub-zero. It’s cool during the day and even colder at night. Even though it is freezing in the winter, Ravangla is a great place to visit. It is recommended that you bring heavy woollens with you.

Ravangla In the summer (April To June)

Ravangla has a temperate climate in the summer, with temperatures ranging from 15 to 25 degrees Celsius. Ravangla receives rain on occasion throughout the summer.

Ravangla During the Monsoon (June To September)

Ravangla receives roughly 300 cm of rain on average during the monsoon season. Heavy rains are sometimes accompanied by powerful winds. The temperature fluctuates from 12 to 17 degrees Celsius.
