    Paying Procedures/Payments Policy

    If you opt to hire SIKKIMTOURISM.ORG for any service, you must make a certain upfront payment. Let us be clear: We are asking for this upfront payment to hold the reservation you made on a confirmed basis. At the time of departure or upon arrival at the destination, you must pay the remaining balance. Before services may begin, the entire sum must be paid. The amount to be paid in advance is according to the management’s discretion. The sum will change depending on the type of services provided. It will also depend on how much time there is between when the service is booked and when it starts.

    Full payment is required in some usual situations, such as during the busiest travel season when demand for travel packages is high and booking rates suddenly increase for all linked services. For instance, the tourist season around Christmas and New Year is typically very busy, therefore you must reserve services rather than make the whole down payment.

    Wire transfers can be used to make payments to our bank.

    Cancellation policy for Covid-19

    If any of the guests are currently experiencing a COVID-19-related health concern or lock-down, the reservation may be postponed to any future date, provided that sufficient supporting paperwork is provided.

    Cancellation Policy

    • Confirmed dates/days may only be changed, cancelled, or shortened with 30 days’ notice in writing to the company, subject to availability.
    • Please be aware that if the cancellation is made within 30 days, we will not be able to change, postpone, or cancel the reservation and the package amount will be retained in full.
    • No-shows are not eligible for reimbursement.
    • There is no credit for unused nights or early departure.
    • If a guest has an international bank account, they are responsible for paying any associated bank fees. In accordance with our cancellation policy, we will send the money.
    • If the car, bus, cab, or other means of transportation to Gangtok or another city/village is cancelled due to unforeseen bad weather or other unavoidable circumstances.
    • Except for cash payments, where the refund is conducted through check or online transfer, all refunds are performed using the original method of payment.
    • Within five business days of receiving the cancellation request, we start the refund process.

    *Note: A premium of 10% plus 18% taxes will be applied when making a refund in the event of any cancellation outside of the appropriate cancellation policy.

    Limitations on Our Liabilities

    Please be aware that when any services are confirmed and the price is set, responsibility for any increases in taxes, admission fees, or fuel expenses imposed by the Government of India will pass to the visitors.

    The sample itineraries provided on the website are perfect for giving our visitors a good idea of the tour schedule. The route might change due to a variety of circumstances, including the weather, the state of the roads, the viability and interest of the visitors, etc.

    For the sole benefit of the visitors, SIKKIMTOURISM.ORG reserves the sole right to alter any timetable while keeping in mind the guests’ safety, comfort, and overall well-being.

    • Our rates are reasonable and the result of good bargaining with hotel chains, airlines, etc. In the event that our channel partners change their prices, SIKKIMTOURISM.ORG also retains the right to change the previously indicated prices.
    • Any delays, changes to the schedule, or costs incurred as a result of weather-related disasters, flight cancellations, unavoidable breakdowns of machinery, vehicles, or other equipment, or any other unforeseen circumstances, are not the responsibility of SIKKIMTOURISM.ORG.
    • There isn’t a system-wide travel insurance policy at SIKKIMTOURISM.ORG. Customers may choose to purchase these insurance plans on their own.

    Please Note: We are not responsible for any costs resulting from unanticipated circumstances, such as political or social disturbance, natural disasters, etc. By signing this document, SIKKIMTOURISM.ORG explicitly disclaims any implied warranties that might be imposed by any applicable laws and consents to submit to the sole jurisdiction of the courts in New Delhi, India.
