      Day 1Arrival in Gangtok

After your arrival at the  NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport, our representatives will pick you up and you are set for a drive to Gangtok (which is approximately 4–5 hrs) through lush tea gardens, winding hill roads, and glimpses of Teesta River. Check-in at the hotel and relax for a while. In the evening, you shall have leisure time to explore MG Marg, the city’s vibrant promenade lined with vibrant cafés and shops. Eat, drink and merry as you take in your first glimpses of a mountain town, the capital of Sikkim. This pedestrian street, MG Marg, offers a relaxed, scenic outing where you get a perfect combination of local flavours of food, shopping, people, and a serene mountain town ambience. This place is perfect for a romantic walk in the evenings under the lights. Grab your coffees or pastries, waffles and snacks at Baker’s Café, or an upscale dinner and drinks at OSM Bar & Lounge, or Tibetan and Nepalese food at Nimtho. Overnight stay will be in Gangtok.

      Day 2Gangtok Full-Day Sightseeing

Day 2 is for a sojourn across Gangtok. After breakfast, proceed for full-day sightseeing. Let Tashi View Point with panoramic view of Kanchenjunga on clear mornings be the starting point. Ganesh Tok and Hanuman Tok are known for peaceful hilltop temples with sweeping views of the valley. Feel the peace and the surrounding beauty. Visit the Banjhakri Falls next and enjoy a scenic cascade surrounded by landscaped gardens. Have the religious feel at Do Drul Chorten Stupa that is known as the largest stupa in Sikkim. Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, a Museum of Tibetan culture and Buddhist heritage will unfold interesting facts about Buddhist culture and practices. If you are nature lover, the Flower Exhibition Centre is bound to overwhelm you with a riot of colours showcasing Sikkim’s floral beauty. Evening time shall be free for shopping or café hopping in MG Marg. Overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day 3Gangtok to Kalimpong Transfer + Kalimpong Sightseeing

After breakfast, get transferred to Kalimpong, which is a distance of approximately 75 km  and takes 3 hrs. It is a scenic drive through a quiet hill town known for orchids, monasteries, and colonial charm. On arrival, check in to your hotel and after freshening up proceed for local sightseeing. We start with Deolo Hill, which is definitely the highest point of Kalimpong. The views from Deolo Hill are mesmerizing and on clear days will bring you pictures of the mighty Kanchenjunga Ranges that will continue to be etched in your minds for your lifetime. The other points that may be covered are Dr. Graham’s Home, Durpin Monastery, Pine View Nursery and Mangal Dham Temple. Durpin Monastery is also known as Zang Dhok Palri Phodang. This peaceful prayer hall has a combination of the views of the serene and winding Teesta along with gorgeous Kanchenjunga ranges. Pine View Nursery is unique of its kind that seldom meets your eyes. It houses an extraordinary collection of cacti and succulents and these unique species are arranged in a greenhouse setting. The nursery will amaze all plant lovers and photography enthusiasts, and the oldest ones can be traced to be about 75 years old. The entry fees are nominal and you can grab some tasty snacks and drinks inside the facility in a beautiful mountain setting. Afterwards come back to the hotel and enjoy a peaceful evening with views of the Himalayas. Dr. Graham’s Home will interest historians more than ordinary tourists. It was founded in 1900 by Reverend Dr. John Anderson Graham and this sprawling educational complex was aimed at offering care and schooling for the underprivileged Anglo-Indian children. It has a feel both nostalgia and inspiration. Mangal Dham Temple is the seat of peace, devotion, and spiritual grace and is a revered sightseeing spot of Kalimpong. Overnight stay at Kalimpong.

      Day 4Departure from Kalimpong

After breakfast, transfer to NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport for your onward journey with sweet memories of Sikkim and Kalimpong. As you drive down from the small town, the cool mountain breeze will fill you with memories of vibrant prayer flags, emerald valleys, and the strength and fortitude of the Himalayas. The town’s peaceful monasteries, flower nurseries and colonial-era architecture will fill you with lasting impressions for a beautiful land on the Himalayas and beckon you again and again into its warm folds.
