It is one of the most scenic spots in the city offering spectacular panoramic views of the snow-clad peaks of the majestic Mount Kanchenjunga and other Himalayan ranges. Next, visit Ganesh Tok, which is a small temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha located on a hilltop. Absorb the spirituality and peace of the surroundings and also enjoy breathtaking views of Gangtok town and the surrounding valley’s. Mix your moments of quiet reflection with your photography skills. Continue to the Bakthang Waterfall, a natural cascade formed by the Ratey Chu River. Surrounded by lush greenery, the waterfall offers a perfect setting for memorable pictures. If you are adventurous enough, try the short rope sliding activities here for a bit of thrill in the mountains.

In the evening breathe the fresh mountain air as you stroll along the MG Marg, the lively pedestrian zone lined with cafés and souvenir shops. Settle for a simple yet delicious dinner of local Sikkimese dishes — perhaps momos, thukpa, or traditional gundruk soup — savouring the region’s unique mountain flavours. Day 2 is the day to get transferred to Lachen from Gangtok. En route stop over at Singhik Viewpoint and Naga Waterfall to enjoy nature at its best. Indulge in some nature photography and reach Lachen by evening and rest. After an early breakfast, begin your scenic drive from Gangtok to Lachen, a beautiful mountain village nestled in the northern part of Sikkim. The journey will definitely prove to be a feast for the senses, with breathtaking mountain terrain covered with alpine forests, snow-capped peaks, and glistening streams winding through deep valleys.

Your first stop will be at Singhik Viewpoint, a serene spot that provides a mesmerizing view of the Teesta River valley and the stupendous peaks of Mount Kanchenjunga along with other Himalayan ranges. The cool mountain breeze and the peaceful setting make it a perfect place for photography and quiet contemplation.

Next stop will be at Naga Waterfall, one of the largest and most scenic waterfalls in North Sikkim. Cascading down rugged cliffs amidst dense greenery, it is an ideal location for nature photography of the beauty of Himalayan landscapes.

Enjoy the views of the small mountain hamlets and lush conifer forests, with short tea breaks or roadside snacks. Arrive at Lachung by evening — a quaint, high-altitude village located at around 8,500 feet, surrounded by towering peaks and serene valleys. On arrival, check into your hotel or guesthouse and spend the evening relaxing after the long yet scenic journey.

Day 3 of North Sikkim trip is dedicated to North Sikkim’s natural wonders. This day is scheduled to get transported the Valley of Flowers of Sikkim after breakfast. Visit Yumthang Valley situated at about 11,800 ft. Stay mesmerized by the wide meadows, flowing river, snow peaks and the warm flush and vibrancy of seasonal blooms, especially through the months of April–May. You can also add the optional tour to Zero Point (15,300 ft) by paying extra charges. This destination is unique and this is where the civilian road ends. It is snow-covered almost all through the year and commands stunning views . It is a must-visit for snow lovers. Arrive Gangtok by evening and overnight stay at Gangtok. As an option, visit the mesmerizing Zero Point or Yume Samdong located at 15,300 ft. The extra charges will apply as per the rates of the local taxi union. Stay awed by the stunning snowy landscape, and thrilled by the last civilian accessible point. This location is ideal for snow activities and photography. Return to Lachung for lunch. Evening is at leisure to explore the quiet Himalayan village. Overnight stay in Lachung.

You then return to Lachung for lunch, then drive back to Gangtok which is another road journey of about 5–6 hours. Enjoy scenic river valleys and forests as you meander across the gorgeous mountain roads. Reach Gangtok for an overnight stay.

After having a leisurely breakfast at your hotel, and enjoying the last glimpses of the pristine Gangtok beauty , complete the check-out process at the hotel.
