Discover the splendour of North East India on this 6-day vacation package. North East India’s Gangtok and Darjeeling are two major tourist attractions. Gangtok is Sikkim’s capital and has some of the greatest Himalayan views, while Darjeeling is noted for its exquisite tea plantations. On our tour, we’ll see the most attractive sights in both towns. Visit the Enchey Monastery, the glacial Tsomgo Lake, and many more places to see the beautiful dawn above Tiger Hills. Return home with memories that will last a lifetime.

Itinerary

Day 1Bagdogra - Gangtok (120 kilometers / 4 hours)

After greetings at Bagdogra Airport/NJP Railway Station, proceed to Gangtok, the capital of the state of Sikkim, which is a beautiful and clean town promising the best monasteries and landscapes.
Gangtok is located at an altitude of 5500 feet and is a beautiful and clean town promising the best monasteries and landscapes.
Check into your accommodation upon arrival, and then go explore the famed MG Marg (on your own). Stay in Gangtok for the night.

Day 2Gangtok - Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir - Nathula Pass (Optional)

Breakfast is served in the morning at the hotel.
Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir is a roughly 40-kilometer, two-hour journey through the Kyongnosla Alpine Sanctuary, home to the red panda and blood pheasant, with Rhododendron and other alpine plants along the road.
It is located at a height of 3753 metres (12310 ft). The lake is an oval-shaped, almost 50-foot-deep body of water that is usually covered in snow for the majority of the year. The Brahmini ducks and numerous migratory species call this lake home. Nearby lies the sacred Baba Mandir, which is regarded as a highly holy spot for everybody – the Nathu La Pass, which connects the Republic of China and Nepal, is a 20-kilometer optional visit. Later that evening, return to Gangtok. Stay in Gangtok for the night.

Day 3Gangtok to Pelling (120 km / 4 hours)

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive to Pelling, which is a tiny Himalayan town in West Sikkim located at a height of 6,800 feet.
Pelling is the closest motorable point to Mt. Kanchenjunga (the world’s third highest peak), and it provides a spectacular sunrise as well as a panoramic view of the whole Eastern Himalayan range. Staying in a hotel in Pelling for the night.

Day 4Pelling to Darjeeling half-day sightseeing (80 km/3 hours)

After a hearty breakfast, go on a half-day sightseeing excursion. Rimbi Falls, Kanchenjunga Falls, and the Khecheopalri Lake or Sky Walk are all part of this.
Transfer to Darjeeling later in the day and arrive around dark.
At Darjeeling, spend the night in a hotel.

Day 5Sightseeing in Darjeeling

Set off early in the morning (about 4 a.m.) for a tour of the Tiger Hills to see the sunrise over Kanchenjunga Peak (depends on clear weather).
Visit the Ghoom Monastery and the Batasia Loop on your way back. Take a half-day sightseeing trip of the Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park and the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursday), Tenzing and Gombu Rock, the Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center (closed on Sunday), and a tea plantation in the afternoon.
Have a great overnight stay in Darjeeling’s hotel.
Note: You might be able to see Toy Train on the same day (Ticket cost will be Additional)

Day 6Darjeeling - Bagdogra - Departure

Transfer to the airport/railway station after breakfast to catch your flight/train back home.
