This seven-night, eight-day vacation introduces you to Scintillating Sikkim, the Himalayan state of Sikkim. Sikkim has a lot to keep you engaged and entertained, from alpine meadows to deep forests, glacier lakes, picturesque towns, age-old monasteries, terraced crops, and tumbling waterfalls.
Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim, is a place of breathtaking natural beauty and wonderful tourism attractions. A trip to Sikkim would be completed without a stop in Gangtok, which sits at 5,500 feet above sea level. Kanchenjunga, the world’s third highest peak, gushing waterfalls, extensive forests, stunning landscapes, and much more are among the city’s awe-inspiring features.
Lachung, a picturesque town in north Sikkim, is situated at a height of around 9,600 feet, at the confluence of the River Teesta and the Lachen River. Stunning views are commonplace in this area. It also provides as a base for exploring Yumthang Valley, which is breathtakingly gorgeous.
Pelling is another jewel in Sikkim’s crown, located away from the restless crowds of a city. Glistening lakes, flowing waterfalls, creative monasteries, and many more attractions abound in this spectacular highland town in West Sikkim. This off-the-beaten-path site is a must-see in Sikkim.
Arrival at Bagdogra/NJP. Our agent will greet you kindly and then transport you to Gangtok (1437 m). Arrive at the hotel and check in. Recharge your batteries and unwind for a while. Take a leisurely stroll down MG Marg, Gangtok’s main thoroughfare, in the evening. In Gangtok, spend the night in a hotel.
Prepare to tour Gangtok’s local sights after a great breakfast. Begin at the Ganesh Tok, a temple that has long been respected by the locals and is also a great spot for capturing spectacular views of Kangchenjunga, the world’s third tallest mountain. Spend some quality time at the beautiful Banjhakri waterfall, a popular local picnic destination.
The Namgyal Institute of Tibetology will show you the diversity of Tibetan architecture and Buddhist culture. Enjoy some thrills on the Ropeway while taking in the breathtaking views of the Alps. Do Drul Chorten Stupa, Bakthang Waterfalls, Tashi View Point, and Enchey Monastery are among the other Gangtok sites that will be explored.
Start your day early, around 8 a.m., to see the magnificent Tsomgo Lake (12,400 feet/3750 meters/3 hours driving) and the famed Baba Harbhajan Mandir (13,200 feet/4000 metres). Stop for a quick breakfast on the road. The trip to the Lake over the mountains is spectacular.
The Lake is enchantingly beautiful, sitting at a height of 12,400 feet. The villagers see it as sacred. When the lake is covered in snow in the winter, it appears to be angelic. The lake comes back to life when spring arrives, with vibrant blooms blooming in its environs.
The shrine of Baba Harbhajan Mandir is a well-known Sikkim attraction.
After a hearty breakfast, travel to Lachung, a charming village encircled by snow-capped Himalayan peaks. It’s famed for its apple, peach, and apricot orchids, as well as tumbling waterfalls and beautiful streams. The Lachung Chu river runs through the settlement, cutting it in half. Stop at the Singhik View Point on the road to Lachung for breathtaking views of Mount Silnoulchu. Also on the road is the Seven Sister Waterfall.
Take a break for lunch at Namok and then tea at Chungthang. Check into the hotel in Lachung. Relax and refresh yourself. The evening is completely free. You may buy gifts such as wonderfully made rugs at the artisan centre.
Begin your trek early in the morning to catch the breathtaking beauty of Yumthang Valley (11,800 feet), often known as the Valley of Flowers. This valley is a well-known Sikkim destination due to its lush vegetation accented by a variety of colourful flowers and trees. A beautiful river runs through the valley, as well as green fields where horses, yaks, and goats graze. This is an absolutely stunning vista. Take a break for lunch before returning to Gangtok. Twin and Bheema waterfalls can be found on the way back. Return to your Gangtok hotel and relax for the night.
Following breakfast, depart for Pelling. It is a beautiful town in west Sikkim, surrounded by pine trees. Pelling’s trip is just as thrilling as the destination. You will pass through aromatic tea gardens, lovely landscapes, and stunning mountains on your route. Our representative will detour to Namchi, which means “peak of the sky,” where you may enjoy spectacular views of the mountains and valley. Visit Namchi Char Dham, which houses a 108-foot-tall statue of Lord Shiva as well as replicas of the 12 Jyotirlingas. Go to Samdruptse Hill, which is 118 feet tall.
After a great breakfast, venture out to discover Pelling’s enchanting world. Visit the Kanchenjunga waterfalls to feel revitalised. It is further enhanced by the surrounding flora. Sewaro rock garden, with fountains, vegetation, and tranquillity, is the other destination on the list. Then go to Darap Valley, where the natural beauty will captivate you. Take a deep breath and take in the beautiful scenery. Continue on to Pema Yangtse monastery, Helipad Ground, Rimbi waterfalls, Khecheopalri holy Lake, and Rabdentse Ruins after lunch. Return to the hotel and spend the night.
