    The bright sunshine seeps through the interlaced mountains, defining the atmosphere of Northeastern India. Darjeeling is known for its large tea plantations, steep hills, and the world-famous Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, which is nestled in the lap of nature. Gangtok, on the other hand, is the epicentre of Tibetan Buddhist culture, with monasteries, temples, and flower nurseries aplenty. Northeastern India is a tourism destination because of its diverse natural and cultural features.

    Itinerary

    Day 1Bagdogra / New Jalpaiguri - Darjeeling

    • Upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station, you will be greeted and transferred to Darjeeling (95 kilometers/3 hours). 
    • Darjeeling, India’s former summer capital, is a country of endless diversity and charm. 
    • It will provide you with a unique blend of vibrant nature and attractive Himalayan people. 
    • It is the home of Dorje, the Lama-mystic Religion’s thunderbolt. 
    • This little village, surrounded by tea gardens, overlooks some of the Himalayas’ highest peaks. 
    • Take a break and then go for a walk around town to get a feel for the new culture you’ve discovered. 
    • Overnight stay at the hotel.

    Day 2Two local sightseeing sites (04 AM to 07 AM) and excellent spots in Darjeeling (9.30 AM to 1.30 AM or 2.00 PM to 6.00 PM)

    • Early in the morning, go to Tiger Hill to see the stunning sunrise and its incredible effects on Mt. Kanchendzonga (the world’s third highest peak), then visit Ghoom Monastery (Subject to availability).
    • After breakfast, visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursday), the Zoological Park (closed on Thursday), the Tibetan Refugee Centre (closed on Sunday), Tenzing Rock, Gombu Rock, and the Tea Estate (all closed on Thursday) (From outside).
    • Evening of leisure for shopping and personal activities, followed by an overnight stay at the hotel.

    Day 3Darjeeling to Gangtok

    • Transfer to Gangtok in the morning (105 km/4 hours). 
    • Gangtok, the capital of the state of Sikkim, is a lovely and clean town with some of the greatest monasteries and sceneries in the world. 
    • Overnight at the hotel, with the evening free for own activities and relaxation.

    Day 4Sightseeing in Gangtok (9.30am to 1.30pm or 2.00pm to 6.00pm)

    • Start your half-day sightseeing tour in and around Sikkim’s capital city, Chortan (Stupa), Institute of Tibetology (Closed on Sunday), Institute of Handicrafts and Handlooms (Closed on Sunday), Ranka Monastery, and Jakhri Waterfalls in the morning.

    Day 5Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir Excursion

    • Departure for a half-day journey to Tsomgo Lake (12400ft), 32 kilometres from Gangtok City.
    • The lake is over a kilometre long, oval in form, and 15 metres deep. Locals believe the lake sacred, and 12 kilometres away is the Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir, which is devoted to the memory of soldier Harbhajan Singh. 
    • Free evening in Gangtok for shopping and personal activities.

    Day 6Gangtok-Bagdogra-New Jalpaiguri

    • Transfer to Bagdogra Airport / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station in the morning (115 km/5 hours).
    • The tour has come to an end.
