    Pelling is a charming Himalayan town. It is located in India’s North Sikkim district. It has a lot of natural beauty. Exotic waterfalls and lakes dot the terrain. Pelling’s natural splendour is enhanced by the Changey, Rimbi, and Khangchendzonga waterfalls, as well as the Khecheopalri Lake, all of which entice nature enthusiasts and hikers alike. The Pemayangtse Monastery, built in 1705, is a fascinating destination to explore. The Rabdantse Ruins, originally the capital of Sikkim, lie near to the monastery and were burnt to the ground by Gurkhas who invaded the area. Sangachoeling Monastery, built in 1697, is another renowned monastery in Pelling.

    Itinerary

    Day 1Bagdogra/NJP to Gangtok, 125 kilometres Approximately 4 hours

    • On arrival, assistance at the airport/railway station and a transfer to Gangtok are provided.
    • Since becoming the state capital in the mid-nineteenth century, Gangtok has seen remarkable growth.
    • Huge government buildings adorned with traditional Buddhist iconography dominate the downtown area.
    • People heading to North Sikkim might also stop in Gangtok for a break.
    • Gangtok, surrounded by monasteries and orchids, is a true traveler’s paradise.
    • Overnight stay at the hotel.

    Day 2Sightseeing in Gangtok (9.30am to 1.30pm or 2.00pm to 6.00pm)

    • After breakfast, visit Rumtek Monastery, Do Drul Chorten, Namgyal Institute of Tibetology (closed on Sundays), Cottage Industry (closed on Sundays), and Flower Show Complex on a half-day city tour.
    • Overnight stay at the hotel.

    Day 3Excursion to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir

    • Breakfast at the hotel followed by a full-day trip to Changu Lake, located 35 kilometres from Gangtok at an elevation of 12,400 feet.
    • The water in the lake comes from melting snow on the nearby mountains.
    • According to legend, lamas could predict the future by observing the hue of the lake’s waters.
    • Also, pay a visit to Baba Mandir.
    • Overnight stay at the hotel.

    Day 4Gangtok to Pelling (150 km / 5 hours)

    • After a delicious breakfast, head to Pelling. Pemayangtse, in West Sikkim, is a little Himalayan settlement.
    • Pelling is the closest motorable point to Mt. Kanchendzonga, the world’s third highest mountain, and provides a spectacular sunrise and all-day vista of Kanchendzonga and the Eastern Himalayan range.

    Day 5Sightseeing in Pelling and the Darjeeling Drop (80 km/4 hours)

    • Prepare for a half-day sightseeing trip of Darjeeling after breakfast. Darap Village, Rimbi Waterfalls, and Kangchenjunga Waterfalls are all worth seeing.
    • After that, travel to Darjeeling.
    • Check into the hotel as soon as you arrive and unwind for a bit.
    • Darjeeling will be our home for the night.

    Day 6Two local sightseeing sites (04 AM to 07 AM) and the greatest points in Darjeeling (9.30 AM to 1.30 PM or 2.00 PM to 6.00 PM)

    • Early in the morning, go to Tiger Hill to see the stunning sunrise and its incredible effects on Mt. Kanchendzonga (the world’s third highest peak), then visit Ghoom Monastery (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY).
    • Breakfast at the hotel, then a half-day sightseeing tour of Padmaja N. Zoological Garden (closed on Thursday), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursday), Tibetan Refugee Self-help Center (closed on Sunday), Ropeway (entry costs not included), Mall and Local Market (Closed on Thursday).
    • Evening Overnight at hotel with free time for shopping and personal activities.

    Day 7Excursion to Mirik

    • Breakfast at the hotel before heading to Mirik Lake for an excursion.
    • Mirik Lake is a recently established hill station in West Bengal, located 48 kilometres west of Darjeeling near the Nepal border, with boating available at Mirik Lake, a 1.25-kilometre-long semi-artificial lake.
    • The road from Darjeeling to Mirik passes through a natural forest and a tea estate.
    • Krishna-Nagar, the lake’s primary tourist location, is located south of the lake.
    • Bokar Gompa, home to Mahayana monks, is a 10-minute walk away.
    • From Rameetay Dara, one may see the dawn and sunset.

    Day 8Darjeeling - Bagdogra / New Jalpaiguri

    • Morning transfer to Bagdogra Airport / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (95kms/3hrs); tour concludes with lifelong memories.
