    Day 1Arrival in Darjeeling

Arrive at Bagdogra Airport (IXB) or NJP Railway Station, and transfer to Darjeeling (approx. 70 km / 3 hrs). As you travel across the calming winding roads across the layers of misty hills and emerald tea gardens, watch Darjeeling gradually unfolding itself and revealing its timeless charm. Darjeeling attracts hundreds of tourists every year for its finest blend of colonial grace, Himalayan grandeur and earthy, simple beauty. With the cool mountain breeze breathe in the waft of fragrance emanating from pine and tea leaves. Stay delighted with the distant glimpses of the Kanchenjunga range shimmering through drifting clouds.

Upon arrival, check into your hotel and take some time to relax amidst the serene surroundings. In the evening, take a lazy stroll through the lively town streets of Darjeeling, peep at the cafes and eateries, savour the authentic smells of hill cuisine and discover your “ah” moment with a warm cup of the world-famous Darjeeling tea. As the sun gradually sets over the ridges, Darjeeling welcomes you with the promise of breathtaking dawns, cozy mountain evenings, and a gentle rhythm that soothes both heart and soul. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

Day 2Darjeeling Sightseeing (Early Morning Tiger Hill Excursion)

Day 2 is for visiting the special tourist attractions of Darjeeling. Early morning at around 4 am,  drive to Tiger Hill to watch the mesmerising sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga. En route visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. Batasia Loop will come to you as a marvel of engineering and beauty where the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway makes a graceful spiral loop amidst landscaped gardens while Ghoom Monastery is one of the oldest monasteries in Darjeeling, that was built way back in 1850. It houses a magnificent 15-foot statue of Maitreya Buddha or the Future Buddha and preserves ancient Tibetan manuscripts. This place is a source of infinite peace and solitude. After breakfast at a local eatery, visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute established in 1954 to honour Tenzing Norgay’s historic ascent of Mount Everest and Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, which is a high-altitude zoo and a home to rare Himalayan wildlife such as the Snow Leopard, Red Panda, and Tibetan Wolf. also visit the Tenzing Rock, a natural rock face named after Tenzing Norgay and enjoy the serene ambience of Tea Garden. There are several tea estates that you visit, click pictures and buy the famous Darjeeling tea after tasting. Explore Japanese Temple & Peace Pagoda, which are both peaceful attractions and strategically located that commands beautiful views.

    Day 3Excursion or Leisure Day

For Day 3, you have two options. You will have to choose on the basis of your likes and preferences.

Option 1 would be a full-day excursion to Mirik Lake which is approximately 50 km / 2.5 hrs one way. You shall be mesmerised by the scenic beauty of the serene lake and enjoy boating and a stroll along the lakeside. The calm, mirror-like waters of the Mirik Lake reflect the surrounding greenery and distant snow peaks. Also known as the Sumendu Lake, Mirik Lake creates a picture-perfect ambience of peace and beauty. En route visit the Indo-Nepal border and have a short visit to the Pashupati Market.

As a second option you can relax in town, visit Rock Garden & Ganga Maya Park, or take a Toy Train Ride which is indeed a beautiful UNESCO heritage experience and Darjeeling tour might seem incomplete without a toy train ride. The Rock Garden will offer the city dwellers some fresh air to breathe and the surrounding cascading streams and layered stone terraces adorned with colourful flowers, quaint bridges, and cozy sitting spots will make you feel at peace. — an ideal place to enjoy the soothing sounds of flowing water amid lush greenery. A little below is located Ganga Maya Park, which is named after a local freedom fighter. This park greets you cheerfully with its sprawling lawns, gentle streams and boating facilities.

    Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

    Day 4Departure from Darjeeling

As you drive down towards NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport, your eyes will seek more of the glimpses of Darjeeling’s timeless charm, the simple folks with smiling faces, bustling bazaars and peace all around.
