    Itinerary

    Day 1Arrival in Gangtok

After your arrival at the  NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport, our representatives will pick you up and you are set for a drive to Gangtok (which is approximately 4–5 hrs) through lush tea gardens, winding hill roads, and glimpses of Teesta River. Check-in at the hotel and relax for a while. Enjoy Gangtok’s perfect blend of modern vibrance with serene spirituality. As you step into this hill town of Sikkim’s capital, you will feel that the air feels different and you shall breathe in fresher, calmer air that is filled with the scent of pines and orchids. In the evening, you shall have leisure time to explore MG Marg, the city’s vibrant promenade lined with vibrant cafés and shops. Eat, drink and merry as you take in your first glimpses of a mountain town, the capital of Sikkim. As you watch the sun setting behind the ridges and the street lights glowing softly, you will feel the gentle rhythm of Gangtok gradually slowing down its pace. This serenity will prove to be a perfect prelude to the Himalayan adventures that await in the Eastern Himalayas for you over the 3N and 4D tour to Gangtok and Pelling. Overnight stay will be in Gangtok.

    Day 2Gangtok Local Sightseeing

Day 2 is for a sojourn across Gangtok. After breakfast, proceed for full-day sightseeing. Let Tashi View Point with panoramic view of Kanchenjunga on clear mornings be the starting point. Ganesh Tok and Hanuman Tok are known for peaceful hilltop temples with sweeping views of the valley. Feel the peace and the surrounding beauty. Visit the Banjhakri Falls next and enjoy a scenic cascade surrounded by landscaped gardens. Have the religious feel at Do Drul Chorten Stupa that is known as the largest stupa in Sikkim. Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, a Museum of Tibetan culture and Buddhist heritage will unfold interesting facts about Buddhist culture and practices. If you are nature lover, the Flower Exhibition Centre is bound to overwhelm you with a riot of colours showcasing Sikkim’s floral beauty. Evening time shall be free for shopping or café hopping in MG Marg. Overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day 3Gangtok to Pelling (Approx. 130 km / 5 hrs) + Pelling Sightseeing

On Day 3, after breakfast, drive to Pelling via Ravangla or Namchi. You can also plan an optional stop at Char Dham or Samdruptse Hill. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and relax. Later on, you can plan a local sightseeing trip that will cover Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdentse Ruins, Sky Walk and Chenrezig Statue. Overnight stay at Pelling. Pemayangtse Monastery was founded in the 17th century. This unique place of worship belongs to the Nyingma order of Tibetan Buddhism and it houses exquisite murals, wooden sculptures, and the famed Zangdok Palri model that translates to a three-dimensional representation of Guru Rinpoche’s celestial abode, intricately hand-crafted over several years. Rabdentse Ruins whisper stories of royal life and battles of yore and its viewpoint commands exquisite views of breathtaking vistas of the Kanchenjunga range and the valleys below. Sky Walk is the glass-bottomed walkway, stretching high above the valley, giving a thrilling view of the valley’s stretching below and the 134-foot statue of Chenrezig (Avalokiteshvara), the Bodhisattva of Compassion, radiates serenity across the hills.

    Day 4Departure from Pelling

After breakfast, depending on the time of departure you can plan for another short sightseeing trip around Pelling. Visit Khecheopalri Lake, Rimbi Waterfall and Kanchenjunga Waterfall for an exquisite nature trip. Later transfer to NJP/Bagdogra for your return journey with beautiful memories. The revered and sacred Wish-Fulfilling Lake of Khecheopalri Lake is considered holy by both Buddhists and Hindus. Rimbi Waterfall is a tranquil cascade where the Rimbi River flows gently through lush greenery while the Kanchenjunga Waterfall is one of the most powerful and majestic waterfalls of Sikkim, roaring and gushing across rocking cliffs and misty air.
