As evening spreads its soft glow, step out for a leisurely walk along MG Marg. Overnight: Gangtok

Watch the morning in Gangtok softly unfolding, with the mountains still wrapped in a shrouded hush as you set out to explore the heart of the city.

A day for sightseeing to the most popular tourist spots. Banjhakri Waterfalls is hidden among lush forest trails. Mist rises in white foam, touching your skin like cool pearls, while the surrounding legends of shamanic healers add a quiet mystery to the air. A short drive later, the world changes with visiting Do Drul Chorten Stupa and you breathe calmer. The Do Drul Chorten stands serene, its golden top catching the sun. Prayer wheels line the path like a mantra written in metal, each spin releasing a whisper of blessings that seem to float into the soft Himalayan breeze. Inside Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, time feels slower. Ancient manuscripts, ritual objects, and centuries-old thangkas glow under soft lights. It is a place where the past sits patiently, waiting to be understood—a museum that feels less like a building and more like a quiet conversation with history. If you want to enjoy a bird-eye view of the town of Gangtok spread peacefully along the mountain slopes, take a ride on the Gangtok Ropeway that carries you gently over Gangtok’s colourful rooftops. Below, the streets wind like painted threads; ahead, the mountains loom in shades of blue. Children love the rise and float, and adults rediscover the magic of seeing a city from the sky. Visit the Flower Exhibition Centre for a lovely burst of colours  from the orchids in delicate purples, lilies shaped like poetry, and seasonal blooms arranged like living art. As the day draws towards the golden hour of the dusk, Tashi View Point will offer you a faraway glimpse of the snow peaks, shimmering like a promise. If the day is clear, you shall see the magical Kanchenjunga glowing quietly, painted in golden light.

Overnight: Gangtok

The morning begins with the road rising steadily toward the sky, each bend taking you deeper into the mountain’s folds. As the city fades behind, the landscape grows interesting with rocks jutting out at unnatural angles and pines standing tall like quiet guardians of the hills. The drive to Tsomgo Lake will take you 12,400 ft up. Finally when you reach the lake, stay overwhelmed by the emerald oval resting calmly among rugged cliffs. Its surface mirrors the infinite sky, sometimes still and sometimes gently rippling like a whispered secret. The cold here feels different, almost sacred, as if the mountains themselves exhale around you.

Family adventure will peak with joyful yak rides along the shores; their bells chiming softly as children laugh with joy as they ride the sturdy, decorated animals. Travel further up the trail where stands the revered Baba Mandir, wrapped in flags that flutter like countless wishes. The story of the soldier-saint will fill you with a defiant solemnity as you respectfully pay heed to the discipline, devotion, and warmth that is attached to the shrine. If time allows and if it is that part of the year when the pass is open to tourists, journey further to the  Nathula Pass. Watch the wind turn sharper and the cold bitter as the altitude climbs. By afternoon, the descent begins, the world turning greener again as you reach back Gangtok You return with joyful memories of the mountain charm and frosty heights of the Himalayas.

Overnight: Gangtok

The day begins with a journey from Gangtok to Pelling across Sikkim’s winding roads. The 4–5 hour drive to Pelling will take you through the forests deepening in colour, distant ridges fading into blue layers, and the gentle hum of the mountains accompanying your every mile.

Along the way, you pause at Namchi Char Dham, a serene hilltop complex where towering replicas of India’s pilgrimage shrines rise against the sky. The great statue of Lord Shiva stands watchful and luminous, while pathways curve through temples and prayer spaces, offering families a calm, spiritual pause amid the journey. Another stopover option is the Samdruptse Hill & the Giant Guru Padmasambhava Statue where you can see the golden statue of Guru Padmasambhava gleaming like a celestial being, visible from miles away. A feeling of deep reverence touches your heart and you wish the best for all as the hill is believed by locals to be a wish-fulfilling one.

By evening, you reach Pelling, a small, peaceful town nestled close to the great Himalayan giants. Check-in, settle down, and breathe in the crisp mountain air and plan for the magical next day of Pelling sightseeing.

Overnight: Pelling

The gentle rays of the morning light will unfold the distant peaks as if the mountains as Pelling wakes up. The day will be slow, scenic, and soulful where nature and history walk hand in hand. We begin with the Skywalk and Chenrezig Statue.
As you step out onto the transparent bridge of India’s first glass skywalk, watch the world spread beneath you. Take in the beauty of the rolling forests, deep valleys, and the grand statue of Chenrezig dominating the scenario yet spreading peace and harmony

Next reach Khecheopalri Lake or the wish-fulfilling lake. It is a sacred lake unmarred by leaves even in the thick of the forest. The mirror-like placid lake listens to every wish placed upon its waters. Families often pause here, letting the silence settle, letting hopes ripple gently across the lake’s surface.

Then catch the enthusiasm and energy of the thundering Kanchenjunga Waterfalls.
The water crashes downward in a silver sheet, sending cool spray into the air. It gives the feel of strength, purity, and timelessness. Further down, Rimbi Waterfalls offer a softer melody.
Here the water flows with an easy rhythm, and the surrounding forest hums with birds and rustling leaves. It is a place where families linger, taking in the gentle music of nature.

Reach Rabdentse Ruins and get immersed in rich history. A short, easy walk through moss-kissed forest leads to the Rabdentse Ruins, once the royal seat of the Sikkimese kingdom. Broken stone walls, ancient pillars, and panoramic views whisper stories of kings, monks, and forgotten centuries. It is peaceful, contemplative—like stepping into a page the mountains decided to keep.

Finally, you arrive at one of Sikkim’s oldest and most revered monasteries, Pemayangtse Monastery, which stands serene, its murals glowing in warm colours, its prayer flags stirring softly in the wind. The air carries the faint scent of incense, and the stillness inside feels like a blessing wrapped in quiet light.

Overnight: Pelling

The morning of departure arrives, still wrapped in the hush of Pelling’s cool air. As you begin your transfer from Pelling to Bagdogra or NJP, the mountains glide past your window one last time and forests fade into distance, rivers flash like threads of silver, and quiet villages remain tucked into the folds of the hills. Every bend seems to return a prolonged and sweet memory—mist rising from Tsomgo Lake, prayer flags fluttering above sacred hills, the laughter of family woven into waterfalls, the stillness of monasteries, and the majestic hush of the Himalayas standing guard over everything.
