Lachung is a lovely town in North Sikkim with the name’small pass’ meaning’small pass.’ Tourists must get official permission before visiting this stunningly gorgeous hill station, which is located close to the Indo–China border. The Lachung Monastery, which was established in 1850, should be at the top of your to-do list. It is bordered by apple orchards, and Lachung is well-known for apples, peaches, and apricots. For those who want to purchase, the handicraft centre includes a nice assortment of well woven carpets and blankets. The Yumthang Chu flows through the Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary, making it a lovely spot for a leisurely stroll.
Upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station, you will be greeted and transferred to Darjeeling (95 kilometers/3 hours). Darjeeling, India’s former summer capital, is a country of endless diversity and charm. It will provide you with a unique blend of vibrant nature and attractive Himalayan people. It is the home of Dorje, the Lama-mystic Religion’s thunderbolt. This little village is surrounded by tea plants and faces some of the Himalayas’ highest peaks.
