Itinerary

Day 1New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP)/Bagdogra Airport (IXB) – Gangtok (130 km/4 hours drive)

As you begin your magnificent tour, you will first arrive at NJP or Bagdogra Airport, where you will be enchanted by the attraction of Sikkim’s heavenly terrain. Our friendly consultant will be waiting for you at the airport to manage your enthusiasm, and will then oversee your transfer to the picturesque Gangtok, which is 1437 metres above sea level. As you check in after 4 hours of driving, you can relax in the warmth of your hotel room. Furthermore, if you are too eager to immerse yourself in the culture of the city, you can explore the streets of MG Marg and watch the local way of life. Enjoy your sizzling hot supper at night.

Day 2GANGTOK (Full day local sight seeing)

It’s the second day of your trip, and you should be ready for the adventure ahead. Today’s focus is on Gangtok and its breathtaking vistas.

Bakthang Waterfall is a waterfall in Bhutan.

Bakthang Waterfall, located 3 kilometres from Gangtok, will be your first stop. It is an eye-catching feature that no traveller should miss. It is a large waterfall that flows from Ratey Chu and provides a relaxing environment for guests.

Tashi Point of View

Following that, you can gaze upon the magnificent Himalayas from Tashi Viewpoint, which will function as your binocular to scrutinise the snow-capped summits. Furthermore, leave your camera’s panorama mode on because this is the ideal location for capturing the complete beautiful landscape.

Tok Ganesh

Just wish it was a clear day because the best view of the place is only possible on bright, clear days. Apart from Tashi View Point, Ganesh Tok is the best site to get a panoramic view of Gangtok. It is an antique Ganesha temple with a nice ambiance. This location greets you with a stunning entry, and while you take in the surroundings, you’ll notice colourful buntings adorning the temple.

Monastery of Enchey

The next stop on your day’s itinerary is a 200-year-old monastery founded as a tiny gompa by Lama DrupthobKarpo, a tantric artist and renowned exponent among highlander Buddhists.

Handicraft and Handloom Directorate

Now is the opportunity to observe the local creativity and art displayed via handicrafts in this Directorate, which is located at the city’s ‘Zero’ point. You may purchase magnificent antiquities like Thanka paintings, traditional carpets, wooden carved and colourfully painted sculptures, and much more here.

DrulChorten Stupa is a Buddhist stupa in DrulChorten, Bhutan.

Your next station, Do DrulChorten, also known as Phurba, stands boldly on the hill Hock and is also Sikkim’s largest stupa. This temple, which was built in 1945, is surrounded by 108 prayer wheels from which visitors might receive divine blessings.

Tibetology Institute

After your spiritual journey, it’s time to learn about Tibet’s cultural and educational ideals. The Institute of Tibetology, one of the world’s most important institutes, is where many researchers conduct research on Tibetan language and heritage. Furthermore, excellent material held at the museum and Tibetan library, which has preserved endless rich collections of studies, will help you learn more about Life-in-Tibet.

Showcase of Flowers

Locals in Gangtok hold a celebration in honour of Sikkim’s rich greenery as a vital aspect of aesthetic festivities. The International Floral Festival is a flower show that takes place during the peak blooming season. When stunning views of Gangtok’s topography are mirrored in the celebration, the ideal combination of Gangtok’s topography is mirrored.

Banjhakri Falls and the Ropeway

Last but not least, when you journey over Ropeway to reach Banjhakri Falls, a 70-foot tall waterfall surrounded by thick foliage of dense forest, you will be enthralled by the place’s abundant appeal. The indigenous attribute this waterfall to their belief that it possesses all of the healing and magical power of any other sacred site. You will be taken back to your hotel after a busy and wonderful day of your tour, where you may enjoy a nice and appetising meal. Spend the night in your comfortable room because you’ll be visiting some more amazing sights the next day.

Day 3Gangtok (Tsomgo Lake Excursion and Baba Mandir)

It’s the last day to create an adventurous adventure, so get up fresh. To get the most out of your tour, get up early in the morning, say 8 a.m., as you will be visiting two of Gangtok’s most beautiful and illustrious places. Lake Tsomgo

Tsomgo Lake, tucked away in the towering mountains at a height of 12,400 feet above sea level, is a traveler’s dream. After a three-hour drive, you’ll arrive at the ‘holy source of water’ revered by the locals. You won’t be able to put your camera down since the breathtaking view of the lake is something you’ll want to remember for a long time.

Baba HarbhajanMandir is a Hindu temple dedicated to Baba Harbhajan.

Finally, we must recall Captain Harbhajan Singh, an illustrious figure in the Indian Army who is known for his extraordinary biography. He is that significant soldier who, despite his untimely death in the Indo-Pak war of 1965, is still said to be with us. Every Indian worships this pure spirit in a shrine named after him, Baba Harbhajan Mandir, at an altitude of 4000 metres. You can return to your hotel at the end of the day to eat delectable food and have a good night’s sleep because you have to get up early the next day to resume your normal routine.

Day 4Gangtok – New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP)/Bagdogra Airport (IXB) (130 km/4 hours)

It is the day when you will return to your usual location. While travelling to NJP/IXB, eat well, pack your baggage, and look after your belongings. On the trip back, recall all of your recollections of Gangtok’s diverse climate and elevations, as well as its serene atmosphere.
