Bagdogra Airport in Siliguri, West Bengal, is the nearest airport, located 159 kilometres from Yuksom. It takes around 6-7 hours to drive there. Yuksom is 123 kilometres from Gangtok, and the most efficient way to get there is to fly into Gangtok and then drive down to Yuksom.
Regular flights link the airport to several of the country’s most populous cities. You can book a private cab from the airport to get to Yuksom.
The good news is that Sikkim now has its own airport, Pakyong Airport, which, if fully operational, will provide direct connections to India’s major cities.
Yuksom is served by the New Jalpaiguri railway station in Siliguri, West Bengal. Yuksom is around 153 kilometres away. Yuksom is 123 kilometres from Gangtok, and the most efficient way to get there is to fly into Gangtok and then drive down to Yuksom.
