      Detailed Itinerary Sikkim Trip with Zuluk (8 nights/ 9 days)

      (1 Night Aritar → 1 Night Zuluk → 1 Night Gangtok → 1 Night Lachen → 1 Night Lachung → 2 Nights Pelling)

      Day 1: Bagdogra Airport (IXB)/NJP station – Aritar (110 km/4 hours)

      Airport/Train Station Pickup: Arrive at Bagdogra Airport (IXB)/NJP station where our tour representative will meet and greet you. Get a comfortable transfer to Aritar and check in at the hotel. 

      Leisure Time: If your energy levels permit, you may explore the outdoors and return to the hotel for an overnight stay.   

      Day 2: Local Sightseeing in Aritar and Transfer to Zuluk 

      Morning: After breakfast at the hotel we will do some local sightseeing in Aritar before driving off to Zuluk. 

      Sightseeing: Explore the beautiful Aritar Monastery, Lampokhri, Parbateswar Shivalaya Mandir, Dak Bungalow, Parbateswar Shivalaya Mandir, Mankhim, and Helipad. Post this sightseeing tour, our tour representative will drive you off to Zuluk for an overnight stay. 

      Day 3: Zuluk to Gangtok (94 km/4-5 hours)

      Morning: Wake up in the beautiful Zuluk, a small hamlet located at an elevation of 9,400 ft. to visit this place you’d require a permit which our agent will arrange beforehand. Before heading to Gangtok you will stop by the following places 

      Tukla Valley: This valley is at an elevation of 12,500 ft. and offers clear views of the Mt Kanchenjunga range and war memorial. 

      Thambi View Point: A beautiful sunrise point that offers panoramic views of Mt. Kanchenjunga

      Lungthung: Also known as Dhupidhara, Lungthung is another scenic sunrise point and offers excellent views of the Eastern Himalayas. Post sightseeing, we will drive to Gangtok. 

      Overnight stay in Gangtok: After this long day of travel and sightseeing, get to your hotel room and relax for the night. 

      Day 4: Gangtok to Lachen (107.2 km/5 hrs)

      Morning: Today, you will go on an enthralling tour from Gangtok to Lachen. The drive is full of scenic views and beautiful scenery, so make sure to have a filling breakfast and then get transferred to Lachen. 

      You will come across the following attractions: 

      Seven Sister Waterfalls: On Lachung-Gangtok Highway, we will stop by to watch the cascading Seven Sister Waterfalls. It’s a multi-tiered waterfall cascading from a hilltop and surrounded by copious greenery. 

      Singhik View Point: Watch the confluence of rivers Teesta and Kanaka from Singhik view point. You also get to see the clear views of Mt Kanchjunga along with Mt Siniolchu. 

      Naga Waterfalls: A multi-tiered waterfall in the lush greenery surrounded by snow-capped peaks, its ice-cold water cascades and makes gushing sounds. 

      Overnight stay in Lachen: Arrive at Lachen hotel and stay the night. Make sure to have supper before you go to bed. 

      Day 5: Lachen to Lachung (North Sikkim Excursion)

      Morning: Have an early breakfast at the hotel and then you will be taking a tour of Lachen with our representative. We will drive through the following attractions:  

      Chopta Valley: The valley is a popular spot for trekkers and is surrounded by snow-clad peaks, pine forests, and pastures. During the winter season, the entire valley is covered in thick sheets of snow. 

      Thongu/ Dzongu: It’s a special reserve for the Lepcha community with traditional villages, waterfalls, hot springs, and bamboo bridges. 

      Gurudongmar Lake: Sit beside the holy Gurudongmar Lake and soak in the moment of bliss and tranquillity. It is located at an altitude of 5,425 m (17,800 ft). 

      Lunch at Hotel: Return to the hotel to have lunch and post meal, we will drive you to Lachung. 

      Overnight stay in Lachung: Check in at the hotel in Lachung and stay the night.

      Day 6: Lachung to Yumthang Valley (24 kms approx./ 1.5 hours)  to Gangtok 

      Morning: Have breakfast at the hotel and get picked up by our tour representative. Today, you will be exploring the valley of flowers: Yumthang Valley. 

      Yumthang Valley: Nestled at a height of 11,800 ft, Yumthang valley is a picturesque valley that blooms with Himalayan flowers such as primulas, poppies, iris, rhododendrons and more. A highly instagram worthy destination, so take as many photos as you want!  Thereafter, we will stop by a hot water spring in Lachung which is known to have medicinal properties. 

      Bheem Nala Falls and Twin Falls: Our next points of interest are the two waterfalls – Bheem Nala Waterfall and Twin falls. The former is counted amongst the tallest waterfalls in SIkkm while the latter is smaller and scenic, cascading amidst lush greenery.  

      Overnight stay in Gangtok: After 7 to 8 hours of journey, you will arrive in Gangtok. Unwind in your hotel room and get some good night’s sleep. 

      Day 7: Gangtok to Pelling (with stopovers in Namchi & Ravangla) 

      Morning: Wake up, freshen up and enjoy a delicious and filling breakfast and check out from the hotel. We will travel to Pelling along with Namchi and Ravangla. 

      Gangtok to Namchi (about 75 km/ 3 hours): The drive from Gangtok to Namchi is scenic and beautiful. Our first attraction is the Char Dham Temple in Namchi, a miniature version of the original char dham temples. Next, explore the Samdruptse Statue, nestled at a hilltop with gorgeous views of the mountains and valleys. 

      Namchi to Ravangla (25.6 km/ 1.5 hours):  Ravangla is home to Buddha park which has a big statue (about 130-ft tall) of Lord Buddha. You can take a walk in the park and watch the small idols of elephants and fountains along the laid pathways. 

      Continue to Pelling (45 km/ 3 hours): Travel for about 3 to 3.5 hours and you will reach Pelling, in Sikkim’s Gyalshing district. Check in at the hotel and rest in your hotel room. 

      Overnight stay in Pelling. 

      Day 8: Sightseeing in Pelling 

      Morning: Enjoy a fulfilling breakfast at the hotel and depart for an incredible Pelling sightseeing tour with our representative.  

      Darap:  A scenic rustic village known for its village tourism.  Darap is a green haven for nature lovers. You can explore the village and watch the lush paddyfield, rolling ranch fields, and waterfalls.

      Rimbi Waterfalls: Visit Rimbi waterfall in Darap village where it meets the Rimbi river. You will find some food stalls near the river to have a cup of tea and snacks. 

      Kanchenjunga Waterfalls: Next, we drive you to the Kanchenjunga falls. Its origins are  believed to be the glaciers of Mt. Kanchenjunga. Here you can watch the gushing waterfall cascading down the lush hills, take photos and enjoy a cup of tea from a nearby stand. 

      Overnight stay in Pelling: The tour for the day ends here. Transfer back to the hotel and stay the night. 

      Day 9: Pelling to Bagdogra Airport (IXB)/NJP station

      Morning: Enjoy your last breakfast of the trip and afterwards check out from the hotel. Our tour representative will pick you up and transfer to NJP station/Bagdogra airport from where you will catch your flight/train back home. We bid farewell.

      1. Aadhaar card and PAN card are NOT proof of citizenship and thus will not be considered as valid documents for acquiring a permit. 
      1. Service of a tour guide is mandatory in case of a foreigner travellers who want to visit North Sikkim / Nathula pass & Baba Mandir.
      1. For Foreign travellers must obtain a Restricted Area Permit (RAP) for which a valid passport and an Indian visa along with the application form is required.
